May 30 - June 1, 2024
Jones 200 (The Dennis Campbell Innovative Learning Space)
Overview
Are you teaching a new course or returning to a course you haven’t taught in a while? Perhaps your course needs adjustments to incorporate new material or learning objectives. Maybe the recent surge of AI tools has you rethinking your assignments and assessments.
The Course Makeover Workshop is designed to help you build, rebuild, or re-think your course. In the company of thoughtful colleagues gathered around shared readings and discussion, participants will craft a vision for their courses realized in thoughtful learning activities and assessments, all with the support of fellow faculty and the staff of the Academy for Teaching &Learning. We will also thoughtfully consider the implications of Covid’s “long shadow” for our course policies and interactions with students.
- Thursday, May 30 - 10am to 3pm
- Friday, May 31 - 10am to 3pm
- Saturday, June 1 - 10am to 1pm
Registrants will also receive an invitation to join a Canvas course (requires Bear_ID@baylor.edu email) for sharing workshop materials electronically.
Lunch is provided on Saturday.
